Insurance Info
It should be noted that there is variability between providers within BMC-Troy and what insurance they can and cannot take.
You MUST understand your mental health benefits, before your first visit.
We will do our best to help you with this, but ultimately, you are responsible.
At times, your medical insurance is one type, but your mental health benefits are not through the same company. This is important to understand, as our clinic may be a provider for your main insurance, but not the “carve out” that covers your mental health.
If we are not providers for the MENTAL HEALTH portion of your insurance, you will be responsible for the out of pocket cost of appointments, which is due at the time of service. Any copay or deductible is due at the time of service as well.

**Although not all of our providers are in network with these insurances, some therapist’s and a few of our doctors are in network. Call your insurance as well as our office for details.
***Please note:
Our office is NOT a Medicaid Provider.
Effective October 1, 2016, Medicaid implemented a new rule that states that a non-Medicaid provider can no longer write prescriptions for Medicaid insured patients. This applies to those patients who use Medicaid for their prescription services. If you have another insurance as your primary WITH a secondary Medicaid policy, as long as your prescriptions are billed through the NON-MEDICAID insurance, we can continue to write your medications. If not, and MEDICAID pays your prescriptions, you will have to seek out a MEDICAID provider to handle your medication management visits and prescriptions.
Please contact your insurance company to confirm your eligibility and benefits prior to your appointment. There are numerous individual plans with a variety of coverage options, so it is important for you to check what you will be financially responsible for including co-pays and deductibles. You may see any physician/nurse practitioner or therapist if we are not in your insurance (with the exception of Medicaid), however, you will then be responsible for the full rate, due at the time services are rendered. If our services are out of network, we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement.
